For more than a quarter century Tucker and Grim have been conducting broad and deep scholarship into religious traditions as potential moral forces for protecting “healthy ecosystems as the basis for healthy lives.” In this “planetary pause” they draw on human values laced through the world’s religions and invite us all to “embrace with radical hope and joyous thanksgiving …“a new golden rule … To nurture the Earth in ways it has nurtured us.”

Mary Evelyn Tucker and John Grim founded and direct the Yale Forum on Religion and Ecology. They have published extensively on this topic including Ecology and Religion. With Brian Swimme they created the multimedia film and book project Journey of the Universe.  Most recently they published Thomas Berry: A Biography.
