SWARTHMORE COLLEGE COUNCIL

Launched 2019 | Swarthmore, PA

The Council on the Uncertain Human Future traveled to Philadelphia for the first Swarthmore College Council in 2019. On November 15 and 16, a group of students, faculty and Sustainability Office staff gathered to share in deep dialogue on the climate crisis. This marks the beginning of a collaboration between the Swarthmore Sustainability Office and A new Earth conversation at Clark University.

A second session was held in February 2020, and a first convener training session was held as well. Training of conveners has continued virtually, several sessions within the Swarthmore community have been convened virtually in the summer of 2020, and the work of the CUHF continues to expand.
