350 Central Mass is an all-volunteer climate-action organization based in Central Massachusetts. Working locally and nationally to end our dependence on fossil fuels and transition to a just and sustainable future for all.

Errica Saunders and Pat Benjamin are volunteer organizers with 350 Central Mass; both are members of the CUHF 350 Central MA Council.

Citizen’s Climate Lobby

Citizens’ Climate Lobby (CCL) is a nonprofit, nonpartisan, grassroots advocacy climate change organization focused on national policies to address the climate movement.

Mary Selkirk, Diana Chapman Walsh, and Phoebe Schenker are members of the CUHF Bay Area Council.

Climate Disobedience Center

The Climate Disobedience Center exists to support a growing community of climate dissidents who take the risk of acting commensurate with the scale and urgency of the crisis.

Tim DeChristopher is Co-Founder of the Climate Disobedience Center and a member of the CUHF Clark Partnership Council.

Core International

CORE International serves people in poor communities who have been excluded from conventional philanthropic or development assistance. CORE works to help them create opportunities to improve their quality of life through innovative solutions and facilitates lasting change that is guided by the needs and aspirations of the community. CORE International will work as a partner with the many other organizations within the worldwide movement dedicated to ending poverty.

Frances Klatzel is Chair of the Board of Directors and a member of the CUHF Kathmandu Council.

Earth Care New Mexico

Earth Care is an empowerment and community development organization. We grow grassroots leadership from the ground up by training and supporting youth and parent leaders who organize campaigns to build a health, just, and sustainable world.

Ruby Lopez is a member of Earth Care and a CUHF Santa Fe Council member.

Extinction Rebellion

Extinction Rebellion is a global environmental movement, dedicated to using nonviolent civil disobedience to compel government action to avoid tipping points in the climate system, biodiversity loss, and the risk of social and ecological collapse.

Bobbe Besold is and artist and activist and a member of the CUHF Santa Fe Council. 

Global Warming Express

The “Global WE”, founded in 2012, is a Climate Change Education & Activism organization and a fast-growing kids’ movement, created and led by kids, for kids. The program has expanded from schools in Santa Fe, NM statewide and across the nation.

Genie Stevens is Executive Director of Global Warming Express, Esha Chiocchio is Board President and Bobbe Besold is Board Director;  all are members of the CUHF Santa Fe Council.

ICIMOD Nepal

ICIMOD Nepal provides resources ranging from hands-on research and piloting of solutions, to policy implementation with governments, to mountain advocacy on the global stage. What unites our work is a core focus around these fundamentally important defining objectives.

Mandira Shrestha is the Programme Coordinator for the Climate Services Initiative at ICIMOD Nepal and a member of the CUHF Kathmandu Council.

Massachusetts Office of Climate Innovation and Resilience

On the first full day of her administration, Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey signed an Executive Order naming Melissa Hoffer as the first Climate Chief for the state of Massachusetts. This cabinet level position is part of the state’s new Office of Climate Innovation and Resilience. Melissa, an attorney specializing in environmental law, was most recently Principal Deputy General Counsel and interim Acting General Counsel in the EPA Office of General Counsel. She will oversee progress in climate policy across all Massachusetts state agencies to ensure that the administration prioritizes climate-forward policies in its decision making.

Melissa Hoffer is Climate Chief for the state of Massachusetts and a member of the CUHF Core Team.

Multisolving Institute

Multisolving is a growing movement around the world. When people work together across sectors to address multiple problems with one policy or investment, they are multisolving. Through research, tools, and stories, the institute works to accelerate multisolving.

Dr. Elizabeth Sawin is the Founder and Director of the Multisolving Institute and a member of the CUHF National Council.

New Mexico Climate Change Bureau

The Climate Change Bureau leads the New Mexico Environment Department’s climate change initiatives, including legislative, regulatory, and compliance actions to achieve the state’s ambitious climate targets. Launched in 2022, the bureau will play a significant role in the Climate Change Task Force, working across state government to coordinate policies and actions to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by at least 45% below 2005 levels by 2030, and achieve net zero by 2050, in accordance with Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham’s Executive Order 2019-003. These reductions will put New Mexicans to work in clean jobs and improving the air New Mexicans breathe.

No Coal, No Gas

The No Coal No Gas campaign formed in 2019 as a regional coalition of affinity groups, partner organizations, and individual humans. Together, we are a direct action campaign dedicated to ending the burning of fossil fuels in New England.

Nastasia Lawton-Sticklor is a climate justice activist supporting No Coal No Gas, and a member of the CUHF Rando 1 Council.

One Project

One Project is a non-profit initiative working globally with communities to design, implement, and scale new forms of governance and economics that are equitable, ecological, and effective.

Zack Walsh is Senior Researcher of Economics and Governance at One Project and a member of the CUHF Rando 2 Council.

CUHF AFFILIATE

Post Carbon Institute (PCI) envisions a world of resilient communities and re-localized economies that thrive within ecological bounds. Founded in 2003, the Post Carbon Institute is leading the transition to a more resilient, equitable, and sustainable world by providing individuals and communities with the resources needed to understand and respond to the interrelated ecological, economic, energy, and equity crises of the 21st century.

Asher Miller is the Executive Director at PCI and a member of the CUHF Rando 1 Council.

Swarthmore ChesterSemester Fellowship

The ChesterSemester Fellowship is a transcript-notated interdisciplinary program on social change with an engaged scholarship (ESCH) internship component. The purpose of the program is to facilitate committed student engagement with visionary leaders in the city of Chester and focuses on critically understanding and helping to ameliorate some of society’s most pressing real-world problems by enabling students to participate in civic volunteer programs throughout the academic year.

Mark Wallace is a Professor of Religion at Swarthmore and a member of the CUHF Swarthmore Council. 

UMass Clean Energy Extension

The UMass Clean Energy Extension provides a resource to reduce market barriers and accelerate the adoption of clean energy for Massachusetts cities and towns, businesses, institutions, farms, low income and multiunit housing, and others.

River Strong is Associate Director of Clean Energy Extension and a member of the CUHF UMass Amherst Council.

US Fish and Wildlife Service, Pacific Islands

Science Applications is a program within the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service that tackles conservation issues no single Service program or partner can address alone. They bring partners together to identify shared conservation priorities and deliver scientific information and tools partnerships need to achieve conservation goals across the landscape. With a foundation of climate adaptation, their work sits at the nexus of landscape conservation, inclusive collaboration, and science support.

Wendy Miles is Science Collaboration Coordinator for the US Fish and Wildlife Service’s Science Applications program in the Pacific Islands. She is a member of the CUHF Rando 1 Council.

WildEarth Guardians

WildEarth Guardians brings people, science, and the law together to protect and restores the wildlife, wild places, wild rivers, and health of the American West.

Leia Barnett is the Greater Gila New Mexico Advocate with WildEarth Guardians.

WOCAN

Women Organizing for Change in Agriculture and Natural Resource Management (WOCAN) is a women-led international membership network of women and men professionals and women’s associations.
